ACS Welcomes Continued Support for Assured Advice Guides

ACS (the Association of Convenience Stores) has welcomed continued support and usage of its industry leading Assured Advice guides.

Launched in 2014, the Assured Advice guides cover a wide variety of key compliance areas that affect local shops, such as vapes recycling and selling vapes responsibly, DRS Scotland, and preventing underage sales. The guidelines provide an objective set of standards which retailers can use in stores across England and Wales to ensure they feel confident navigating policies and when dealing with regulatory bodies.

ACS chief executive James Lowman said: “We are proud to see our Assured Advice scheme supporting so many retailers and stores across the country. The guidance provides invaluable tools and information for all in the sector - from independent retailers to symbol groups who encourage it to be utilised in store.”

“We will continue to work with Surrey and Buckinghamshire Trading Standards to ensure that our members feel supported in navigating the changing policy landscape and ensure their stores meet the correct standards set by regulatory bodies.”

The Assured Advice guides are available to view for everyone, and anyone who signs up for the scheme will benefit from the protection of the Assured guidance. The guides, along with information about how to sign up for the scheme is available here: https://www.acs.org.uk/advice
